Welcome to the German Pavilion at SEMICON Korea 2012!
SEMICON Korea celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2012 and is one of the most important trade fairs for the semiconductor industry worldwide. This time about 400 exhibiting companies from around 17 countries will present the newest trends of this highly innovative industry sector. Korea is still an important driver for German machine exports. That is especially true for semiconductors and electronics as a whole. For the major global challenges electronics are the key ingredient for solutions - energy, mobility, security, globalization, you name it. Innovative sectors like high power electronics, LEDs and battery technology have made progress in mass markets.
Innovative electronics need innovative, cost-effective manufacturing. And this is where German machine makers come in: Equipment "made in Germany" meets highest demands in terms of quality, reliability, safety and environmental standards. It helps manufacturers keeping up with cost-competitiveness, lowest cost of ownership and high quality products at the same time. With long-standing Korean-German trade relations, Germans show a strong and sustained interest in the very important Korean semiconductors and electronics production market. SEMICON Korea is an excellent opportunity to showcase the trends and innovations in our industry and is an ideal place to help to strengthen mutual business relations and joint developments between Korean and German partners.
That's why the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) with support from the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) have set up a German Pavilion including an information center at SEMICON Korea for the first time.
Eight German exhibitors offer state-of-the-art manufacturing solutions, components, materials, software and services for the production of semiconductors and electronics. You are cordially invited to visit us and to take the opportunity of experiencing German high-tech engineering. Meet our enablers of electronics production!
We wish you all a very productive and successful visit to SEMICON Korea!
